Myrtle Beach, SC

In October we traveled to Myrtle Beach, SC with my parents. We were expecting warm temperatures, long walks on the beach and some fun in the sun. We got cold weather, very brief walks on the beach because it was so cold and hardly any sun! Again, like the camping trip in September, we managed to have fun! We went to the "Boardwalk" and fed some really big (and slightly gross looking) carp, Maggie got to take a ride on a train and carousel, and we enjoyed a break from the rain.

Very BIG and very hungry carp. There were thousands of them in this lake in the middle of the shopping area. I guess people constantly feed them so that explains why they are so big.

We went to Ripley's Aquarium, which was really nice. Doesn't compare to the GA Aquarium, but it was a really fun outing.

Maggie did not want to be in her stroller, hence the arching of her back and angry face.

This was a really cool exhibit. You could climb under this tank full of puffer fish, stand up, and be eye-level with the fish. Sounds cool in theory (and in pictures), but I almost had a panic attack due to claustrophobia and lack of oxygen. They should really think about a way to pump air up through the hole!

There is an ice cream shop in Myrtle Beach called Maggie Moo's! Maggie Moo is a nickname for Maggie, so of course we had to go there for a little treat.
