Myrtle Beach, SC

In October we traveled to Myrtle Beach, SC with my parents. We were expecting warm temperatures, long walks on the beach and some fun in the sun. We got cold weather, very brief walks on the beach because it was so cold and hardly any sun! Again, like the camping trip in September, we managed to have fun! We went to the "Boardwalk" and fed some really big (and slightly gross looking) carp, Maggie got to take a ride on a train and carousel, and we enjoyed a break from the rain.

Very BIG and very hungry carp. There were thousands of them in this lake in the middle of the shopping area. I guess people constantly feed them so that explains why they are so big.

We went to Ripley's Aquarium, which was really nice. Doesn't compare to the GA Aquarium, but it was a really fun outing.

Maggie did not want to be in her stroller, hence the arching of her back and angry face.

This was a really cool exhibit. You could climb under this tank full of puffer fish, stand up, and be eye-level with the fish. Sounds cool in theory (and in pictures), but I almost had a panic attack due to claustrophobia and lack of oxygen. They should really think about a way to pump air up through the hole!

There is an ice cream shop in Myrtle Beach called Maggie Moo's! Maggie Moo is a nickname for Maggie, so of course we had to go there for a little treat.

The Great September Camping Trip!

For our 2nd wedding anniversary, we decided to rent a camper and spend a few days on Lake Lanier. The weather was awful, in fact, it was the weekend metro Atlanta had all of the flooding! We still managed to have fun. The campsite was really nice, we chose to stay at Bald Ridge on Lake Lanier and we rented the camper from RV World in Buford. The first night we were there, Maggie was running in the camper and ran full steam ahead into a door. She fell backwards and instantly had a HUGE blue knot on her forehead. Within 15 minutes she was playing again, but we kept a close watch over her. The VERY next day, she fell down the steps and skinned her nose and her forehead!!! She looked kind of rough, but all in all I think she had a super time!

Dressing up, Melt-downs and Microwaves

Maggie is starting to show interest in dressing up. Mainly it's me, Amanda, putting her in the clothes and then snapping pictures, but she seems to enjoy it! Here, she is clearly exhausted from a long day of practice as an Atlanta Falcon's cheerleader...

Life as a Princess is rough...
Here is Maggie having a melt-down. Lately, it's been around 2-3 every day. I think the terrible two's have started a bit too early.
We installed a microwave over our stove so we got rid of the old one. I had no idea Maggie loved the old microwave so much!
Ta Da! Thanks to my dad for supervising as Steve installed it.

The Kruegers visit Georgia!

My sister Laura, her husband Brandon, and their daughter, Jordan visited us over Labor Day weekend. We had lots of fun hanging out, too bad they live so far away!

Maggie has a bag of dress-up clothes, Jordan started dressing up then Laura joined in!

Visit with Great Grandma Jean

Heat Lightning

When it's a clear night, we have a pretty nice view of the sky. On a hot summer night we had a heat lightning storm and I captured some neat pictures. At least, I think they're neat :)

"Helping" mom with the dishes. She usually takes the dirty dishes out and tries to put the clean ones back in.

Playing with the bubble machine on the porch (in our jammies) with Grandma and Grandpa

Pretending to take a nap on Care Bear. (I have no idea which Care Bear this is, guess she will tell me one day!)
